Forest management is the area of forestry governed by the State Forest Policy. The Forest Management Plan accepted by the Cabinet in 1997 states that the objective of the state is to achieve and maintain a multifunctional forest economy.

Thus, forest management means such planning and designing business activity in forests as to ensure income from a forestry enterprise on one hand and  to ensure the forest condition improvement and protection, on the other. Management plan for the Forest District of Babimost was elaborated in accordance with the forest inventory on January 1st, 2008. The Forest District consists of three divisions: Dąbrówka, Kargowa  and  Szczaniec.
